How to track Air India Cargo cargo

  1. Find the 11-digit air waybill number on the AWB or the booking confirmation. On a consolidated shipment, ask the forwarder for the master AWB: the airline doesn't know the forwarder's house AWB number.
  2. Check the first three digits. Air India Cargo numbers start with 098; any other prefix belongs to another airline's tracker.
  3. Enter the number on Air India Cargo's tracker. The link opens the Air India Cargo Portal, where one AWB Number field takes the number with its dash (098-XXXXXXXX); several AWBs can be entered at once, separated by commas. No login is needed.

Air India flies nonstop between India and the US, so on those flights an India–US shipment can show a single leg; cargo from another Indian city connects through Air India's own network first.

Booked with Airlift?

Airlift doesn't run its own airline tracking, and the Airlift container tracker covers ocean shipments only. If Airlift booked your shipment on Air India Cargo, your Airlift contact has the flight milestones and can tell you where it is.

Air India Cargo's tracking link doesn't carry the number, so the box on this page checks it and shows it ready to paste.
