How to track Lufthansa Cargo cargo

  1. Find the 11-digit air waybill number on the AWB or the booking confirmation. On a consolidated shipment, ask the forwarder for the master AWB: the airline doesn't know the forwarder's house AWB number.
  2. Check the first three digits. Lufthansa Cargo numbers start with 020; any other prefix belongs to another airline's tracker.
  3. Enter the number on Lufthansa Cargo's tracker. The prefix field is pre-filled with 020 and the page checks the serial's check digit before it searches. No login is needed for normal shipments; the page says Vulnerables and Valuables shipments are tracked only after login.

Frankfurt is Lufthansa Cargo's main hub, and cargo from India or Asia to the US often connects there; its other hubs include Munich, Vienna, Brussels and Rome. Lufthansa passenger tickets start with 220; its air waybills start with 020.

Booked with Airlift?

Airlift doesn't run its own airline tracking, and the Airlift container tracker covers ocean shipments only. If Airlift booked your shipment on Lufthansa Cargo, your Airlift contact has the flight milestones and can tell you where it is.

What Lufthansa Cargo tracking statuses mean
